Just how does a house that is unoccupied win yard of the month?? The house is not for sale, or has been sold and has not had an occupant for almost 18 months.
The property is owned by a local home builder. He has obviously done a lot of work to improve the property, presumably for resale. This is good for the neighborhood, and I think that deserves recognition. However, I am not involved in selecting the Yard of the Month but I doubt that property ownership is a factor included in the decision.
