Volunteer!!!
We are looking for as many volunteers as possible from our neighborhood to be trained for a Volunteer In Patrol program with the Dallas Police Department. It will only take a couple of hours a month or whatever time you can devote. You are encouraged to work as much or as little as your schedule allows. If you have interest, please read the information below. You just need to download the two forms by going to the two links below and then send your completed forms in, along with a note indicating which training class you would like to attend.
The Dallas Police Department has more than 900 current volunteers. If you are interested in helping us make your community better and safer, and meet the following qualifications, we would like for you to consider becoming a DPD volunteer. Volunteer Police Program Requirements
- At least 21 years old
- Complete a successful background check
- Possess a valid Texas Driver’s License
- Have had no moving violations in the last two years
- No prior Felony convictions
- No Misdemeanor A or B convictions in the last 5 years
- No DWI conviction in last ten years
- Successfully complete all required training
- Complete the Volunteer Application and Waiver of Liability Form
