Dallas Police Department VIP Patrol

Merriman Park/University Manor Volunteers In Patrol

MPUM tackles crime from three directions - Crimewatch, ENP (Expanded Neighborhood Patrol) and VIP (Volunteers in Patrol).  These three programs work closely together and are each an important part of keeping our neighborhood safe.

The VIP program is made up of volunteers who live here in our neighborhood.  All that is required to be a VIP patroller is to attend 6 hours or training at The Dallas Police Department.  No amount of time is too small or too much - we need every single hour we can find so please consider joining this valuable program.

2011 VIP Class Schedule

New dates for classes will be emailed to the neighborhood email list.  If you have not included your email address on our list, send your request to info@mpum.com to be added.  When a list of several class dates are published by The Dallas Police Department, they will also be posted on this website.

If you decide to help us patrol by attending this training, all you need to do is download the following two forms and send to Sr. Corp. Phil Gordon or you can drop it off at the Northeast Division Police Dept.  (see address below)
