56 years ago, the University Manor Garden Club, a social organization was started.  It is an organization for all neighborhood residents, both men and women. The Garden Club is dedicated to the beautification of the neighborhood, specifically, the entry at Northwest Highway and Fenton. We are committed to the exchange of ideas and the promotion of community through regular meetings

  • Meetings are held the second Thursday of each month, September - May, at 10:00 a.m.
  • Dues are only $10.00 per year
  • A Garden Club yearbook with the names of all members, the schedule of of programs is provided

The 2011/2012 meetings feature speakers:

Sept 8th - Dallas Parks Rotary Club will discuss the need for a display of patriotism in our neighborhood.

October:  Dana Wilson, Trinity River Audubon Center

November:  Frank Meier, architect and a MPUM resident with a field trip to the Biblical Arts Museum

December: A Christmas Celebration (covered dish)

January:  To be determined

February:  To be determined

March:  Ann Shelton, Book Review

April: Reflections of our Early Years with scrapbook displays

May:  School Belles and Boys, a repeat performance of our Hotchkiss second graders.  And, our installation luncheon.
